The Kildare Ladies have lost their opening game of Division 1 to Waterford.

The full time score was Waterford 1-13, Kildare 2-7.

Despite goals from league debutant Alannah Prizeman and soon to be AFL star Neasa Dooley Kildare fell to their first league defeat in twenty three months as Waterford claimed the spoils by three points in Mangard Park.

Having made the transition from Division three to Division One in two years Kildare now prepare for the challenge of Dublin visiting Newbridge in seven days time.
