Following last night's defeat to Greece, Leixlip's Andrew Omobamidele says he understands the frustration from fans
The Republic of Ireland have now lost four competitive games in a row at home.
Greece beat the Boys in Green 2-nil in last night's Nations League game at the Aviva Stadium.
Following last night's defeat to Greece, Leixlip's Andrew Omobamidele says he understands the frustrations from fans as they booed the team after the game.
He said, "It’s obviously not nice to hear as a player. I grew up watching Ireland, I’ve been a fan myself so I know the frustrations.
"They’re obviously coming out to watch us play and put in a performance and ultimately if we’re not getting results, I completely understand the reactions and it’s up to us to change that".
Relegation to League C of the Nations League and a third seeding for the World Cup qualifiers is on the horizon for Ireland with the trajectory of results.
