The event begins at 6.30pm at the GPO on O'Connell Street.

Celebrations take place in Dublin tonight to welcome home the The FIFA World Cup Women's soccer team.

The event begins at 6.30pm at the GPO on O'Connell Street, where Vera Pauw's girls will be cheered on by fans.

Beckett Bridge will have a COYGIG message displayed welcoming home the girls in Green.

Members of the public are being asked to enter O'Connell Street from the O'Connell bridge end.

Dublin's Lord Mayor Daithí de Róiste is asking people to use public transport
