Tonight in Champions League action Manchester City meet FC Copenhagen at 5.45pm

SOCCER

Kylian Mbappé has reportedly informed Paris Saint-Germain that he wants to leave the club in January.

The striker signed a new contract with PSG in the summer, but Le Parisien claim the 23-year old now feels betrayed by the club’s board.

The paper reports PSG’s sporting director, Luis Campos, wants to leave the club for similar reasons.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola claims it's not possible for him to field a consistent back four.

He's made frequent changes to his defensive line-up all season.

They head to FC Copenhagen in the Champions League tonight, three days after playing Southampton in the Premier League.

Guardiola says the gruelling fixture schedule makes team selection very difficult:

The other game in Group G sees Borussia Dortmund host Sevilla.

Celtic will hold a moment’s silence and wear black armbands for tonight’s Group F visit of RB Leipzig, in memory of the lives lost at Creeslough.

Elsewhere in the group, Real Madrid can secure a knockout spot with victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in Warsaw.

Chelsea have travelled to the San Siro for their return fixture with AC Milan in Group E.

Group leaders Salzburg are away to Dinamo Zagreb tonight.

The Republic of Ireland could find themselves qualified for a Women’s World Cup finals tonight.

They face Scotland in their playoff at Hampden Park knowing a win would seal at least an intercontinental playoff.

But if Wales or Portugal beat Switzerland or Iceland respectively, then a win for Vera Pauw’s side tonight will see them qualify automatically.

Captain Katie McCabe says she isn’t feeling the pressure of the occasion:

Kick-off at Hampden is at 8pm, while the other two playoffs both kick-off at 6pm.

Preston North End forward, Troy Parrott, is expected to miss the Republic of Ireland's next two friendly games, due to injury.

Rep. Ireland are due to play Norway & Malta on the 17th & 20th November, respectively.

RUGBY

A neck injury means Peter O’Mahony is a major doubt for Munster’s United Rugby Championship meeting with the Vodacom Bulls on Saturday.

Fineen Wycherley and Mike Haley are both out with respective shoulder and groin injuries.

However, the likes of Jack Crowley, Antoine Frisch, Tom Ahern and Diarmuid Barron are available this week having returned from Emerging Ireland duty.

GAELIC GAMES

At 7.30pm in Hawkfield, St. Columba's face Broadford in Whitewater Shopping Centre's U23 Hurling B Championship Final.

Louth GAA say their dream is becoming reality, having been given the green light to access €14.8 million in IIP funding.

The Immigrant Investor Programme devised by the Department of Justice essentially works as a "cash for visas" scheme for wealthy individuals seeking citizenship.

The funds will go towards Louth’s proposed new county ground outside Dundalk.
