Offaly’s Adam Screeney's been named the 2022 Electric Ireland GAA Minor Player of the Year.

Stephen Bradley has told his players to go and win their second leg match against Shkupi tonight.

The Shamrock Rovers head coach guided his team to a 3-1 home leg win in the Europa League third round qualifier last week.

If they progress they'll face either Qarabag or Ferencvaros in the play-off round for a place in the group stage.

Rovers can advance with a draw - or even a 1-nil defeat in North Macedonia tonight - but Bradley believes they can go for a win

Rangers are 2-nil down entering the second leg of their Champions League third qualifying round tie with Union S-G of Belgium.

There's a 7.45 start at Ibrox.

FAI Women's Cup holders Wexford Youths have been handed an away tie in this year's semi-finals.

They're away to Athlone Town whom they've beaten twice in the league this season.

Bohemians will go to Tolka Park in the other semi-final to face Shelbourne who were held scoreless at home in the league by Bohs last month.

Both ties will be played on the last weekend of September.

Manchester United have pulled out of a deal for Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic.

United had a bid of £7.6m rejected and were expected to go back in with an improved offer, but have decided to move on to other targets.

The asking price for the 33-year-old is believed to be more than what United were prepared to pay.

Amadou Onana has signed for Everton from French club Lille for 40 million euro.

The 20-year-old central midfielder has agreed a five-year contract until the end of June 2027.

The Belgium international is the Blues’ fifth signing of the summer.

Onana was signed by Lille from Hamburg for 7 million last summer and he went on to make 11 starts and 21sub appearances in Ligue 1.
