The Donegal county board has confirmed Jim McGuinness will remain in charge of the county's senior footballers next season.

Meanwhile, former Footballer of the Year Karl Lacey has been installed as the county's new minor football manager.

The League of Ireland will be hoping for good news from today's Budget.

Last month, the FAI lodged a pre-budget submission calling for funding of almost 4.5 million euro for improvements in academy and coaching structures.

The Budget is due to be announced at Leinster House this afternoon.

The Republic of Ireland will step up their preparations today for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Portugal.

Dundee United defender Will Ferry was drafted into the squad yesterday.

The group phase in the Women's Champions League begins tonight, with Arsenal playing Lyon.

2024 World Champion Luke Humphries got his World Grand Prix of Darts campaign off to a winning start last night.

He beat Nathan Aspinall by two sets to nil in Leicester.
