FIFA have sacked a senior member of staff amid the fallout from Gianni Infantino's controversial World Cup investment plans.

Chief operating officer Kevin Lamour publicly criticised the president of world football's governing body, claiming the organisation's administration had been "deceived" over the proposals.

He also accused Infantino of treating staff with "contempt and intimidation."

 

Premier League viewers will hear on-field conversations between referees and players during live broadcasts for the first time this season.

The move is part of a push for greater transparency led by referees' chief Howard Webb.

Sky Sports and TNT Sports will be able to air a limited number of audio clips from officials' body cameras during matches, although VAR incidents remain off limits.

 

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly is reportedly considering selling his stake in the business to majority owners Clearlake Capital.

Boehly and fellow investor Mark Walter are said to have grown frustrated with the direction of the club, including recruitment, managerial appointments and plans for a new stadium.

Second-placed Shelbourne host Wexford at Tolka Park.

Kick off is at quarter-to-eight .

 

The draw will take place for the quarter-finals of the Club Orange Men's FAI Cup later today.

Only teams from the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division remain in the competition,

Holders Shamrock Rovers are out, after losing in extra-time to St Pat's on Sunday.
