France play Morocco tonight at 7pm in the other World Cup Semi Final

SOCCER

Lionel Messi inspired Argentina to a 3-nil win over Croatia last night and a place in the World Cup final.

The Argentina captain scored from the penalty spot and played a key role in the third goal scored by Julian Alvarez, which was a second of the night for the Manchester City striker.

Argentina will now play either defending champions France or surprise package Morocco in Sunday's final.

They meet this evening at 7pm, Irish time.

Tottenham host Everton in the Women's Super League tonight.

That game also starts at 7.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has sent Jadon Sancho to train in the Netherlands.

Ten Hag says that Sancho isn't 'physically or mentally' ready to play for the Red Devils at the moment.

RUGBY

Ulster could be forced to move their Heineken Champions Cup match against La Rochelle from Belfast.

The pitch at the Kingspan Stadium is currently frozen - the game is scheduled for Saturday at 5.30.

Ulster could look to delay the match until Sunday or move the game to the RDS in Dublin.

A decision is expected in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Wales coach Warren Gatland says Andy Farrell is the 'one person in contention' for the role of head coach of the British and Irish Lions squad which will tour Australia in 2025.

Ireland coach Farrell guided the national team to a series victory in New Zealand earlier this year.

HOCKEY

The Ireland women's team can seal a place in the semi-finals of the Nations Cup today.

A win over South Korea in Valencia will be enough for Sean Dancer's side to progress.

That match is underway at 9.45 this morning, Irish time.

SNOOKER

Mark Allen's into round three of the English Open after a 4-1 win over Dylan Emery last night.

The Antrim man will play Ding Junhui  in the last 32 this evening.

RACING

After Monday's meeting was abandoned due to poor visibility they'll hope for better at Dundalk today.

An eight-race card is due to get underway at 1.40pm.

Tomorrow's meeting at Naas is subject to an inspection at noon today.
