Barr Wins 400m Euro Heat; Ireland's Fastest Man Olatunde; Tonight's GAA fixtures; Last night's Ladies Football; Schmidt Appointed All Blacks Attach Coach

 

Thomas Barr has won his 400 metres hurdles heat at the European Athletics Championships in Munich.

The Waterford native clocked a time of 49 point 4-9 seconds.

He is into the semi finals tomorrow morning.

19 year old Rhasidat Adeleke lines up in the final of the 400 metres this evening.


Ireland's fastest man - Israel Olatunde - has been reflecting upon his record breaking run in last night's 100 metres final.

The 20 years old Louth native broke Paul Hession's long standing mark by sprinting to a time of 10 point 1-7 seconds in finishing sixth.

His time was the same as 5th place and he was just one hundredth of a second outside of 4th place.

Reports are circulating that  Manchester United are considering a loan deal for Christian Pulisic.

The United States international has struggled at times to get into the first team at Chelsea, after joining the London club for 58 million pounds from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.
