Andy Flaherty is a local historian. He is a native of Ferbane, Co. Offaly, but has lived in Timahoe since 1977. Andy was a founding committee member of St. Mochua Historical Society in 1993. It began by restoring the old Timahoe Graveyard. He began editing and compiling the Society’s annual book "The Bridge" in 2014, in the process writing quite an amount of the articles.
