He was brought before Naas District Court, where Gardaí objected to bail.
Gardaí in Naas have arrested a man after stopping him for using a mobile phone while driving during a speed checkpoint.
Checks revealed he was already serving two driving disqualifications - one for exceeding 12 penalty points and another for driving without insurance last year.
Gardaí also discovered three active bench warrants.
The man was charged with driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
He was brought before Naas District Court, where Gardaí objected to bail.
Bail was refused, and he has been remanded in custody to Cloverhill Prison.
