141 adults were registered homeless in Kildare
There's a call for the new Government to have a prevention strategy to stop more people falling into homelessness.
141 adults were registered homeless in Kildare - a decrease from 146 in November.
The Simon Communities expects the numbers to rise again after a drop of 335 to over 14,800 homeless people in December.
It says though, over the past year, there was a 14 per cent rise in children in emergency accommodation.
The Simon Communities Executive Director Ber Grogan says the fall doesn't reflect the true picture.
