A car has been broken into in broad daylight in Newbridge today, in what eyewitnesses have described as a "shocking" incident.
The culprit smashed the front passenger-side window before fleeing the scene.
Kfm understands the owner of the vehicle had left her work bag on the floor inside the car at the time.
An eyewitness said she immediately contacted Gardai to report what had happened.
