Commander Alex Quigley Report's High Morale Among Irish Troops In Lebanon

That's despite the deaths of 3 UNIFIL peacekeepers in the region.

Morale among the Irish troops in Lebanon is high according to the Defence Forces, with a number of local troops among those serving.

That's despite the deaths of 3 UNIFIL peacekeepers in the region in recent days.

The Malaysian troops were killed in separate incidents on Sunday and Monday, with both the UN and Israel launching investigations into what happened.

The Commandant said that Irish army personnel continue to fulfil their patrolling duties, which may be disrupted for short periods of time depending on the level of risk.

Defence Forces spokesperson Commandant Alex Quigley says Irish troops in South Lebanon are continuing their daily patrols.
