He was remembered for his selflessness, kindness, and deep commitment to his community.
A "fitting" tribute has been dedicated to the late Maynooth First Responder Darren Lee, with the installation of a solar-powered defibrillator on the Greenway at Pike’s Bridge.
Mr Lee, who dedicated his life to helping others, passed away in August this year.
He was remembered for his selflessness, kindness, and deep commitment to his community.
Members of Maynooth Community First Responders, where Darren served as Chair, spoke of their devastation following his sudden passing.
They described him as calm, competent, and always ready to respond - whether in the middle of the day, during work, or in the middle of the night.
Cllr Angel Feeney (Lab) described the the installation of the defibrillator as an "emotional but fitting tribute".
