The existing pipers were prone to bursts and leaks, leading to supply interruptions and the loss of treated drinking water
Damaged water mains located in Celbridge Road, Maynooth are to be replaced, according to Uisce Éireann.
Crews will be installing 1.2km of new, modern pipes from Griffith Rath Manor and Celbridge Road junction to the Straffan Road and Celbridge Road junction.
The existing pipers were prone to bursts and leaks, leading to supply interruptions and the loss of treated drinking water.
Works will begin next week and will include installing new water service connections from the public water main on the road to customers’ property boundaries and linking them to the customers’ water supply.
Completion of the project is expected to be completed by Q3 2026.
Uisce Éireann said traffic management system will be in place during the works in the form of a stop / go system.
