ESB Identifies Two Kildare Areas As Dangerous For Swimming, As Heat Warning Continues

Among those mentioned are Golden Falls near Ballymore Eustace and Leixlip.

ESB have warned people of the hazards of swimming in certain reservoirs and watercourses across the country, as the yellow heat temperature warning continues.

Among those mentioned are Golden Falls near Ballymore Eustace and the River Liffey in Leixlip.

Others mentioned across the country include Poulaphouca in County Wicklow, Inniscarra and Carrigadrohid in County Cork, the Ardnacrusha headrace and tailrace canal in County Clare, as well as Assaroe, Lough Nacung and Lough Dunlewey in County Donegal.

They have urged people to ensure their safety and the safety of others, and to choose safer swimming locations such as swimming pools or beaches with designated lifeguards.

The warning was issued in light of recent temperature rises, as well as the beginning of school holidays.
