The former head of the Slaintecare reform office has refused to appear before the Oireachtas Health Committee to discuss her resignation.

Kildare North Fine Gael TD, Bernard Durkan, sits on the committee.

Laura Magahy resigned from the project a number of weeks ago along with Professor Tom Keane, citing the slow rate of progress within the health reform plan.

The Irish Times reports Ms Magahy yesterday informed the body that she was unable to attend
