He was born in Kill and co-founded the traditional music band Planxty
Féile Liam O' Flynn is returning to Kill and Naas for it's fifth edition this week.
It's a celebration of Liam O' Flynn, born in Kill, and synonymous with Irish traditional music and his playing of the Uileann pipes.

O' Flynn co-founded the infamous traditional music group Planxty, joined by fellow Kildare man Christy Moore, Andy Irvine and Dónal Lunny.
He died in 2018 at the age of 73, having collaborated with everybody from Kate Bush, the Everly Brothers and Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits.

The festival begins on Thursday (1 October) and concludes on Sunday (4 October).
It encompasses a wide range of events and entertainment, from concerts and workshops to talks and family-friendly events.
