Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage at a playground in Celbridge.
The crime occurred on Wednesday 28 October at approximately 10:25pm at the Aghard Playground in the area.
A fire was started by a group of youths late at night.
Gardaí were called to the scene, and when they arrived, the youths had fled the scene.
It's understood the youths, who were the perpetrators of the fire, are underage.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Naas Garda Ann Marie Reilly believes it could've been linked to "the week that was in it", as Halloween celebrations and issues of anti-social behaviour typically increase during this period.
Garda Reilly stated that investigations were ongoing into the incident which occurred last month.
