Gardaí are appealing for information following a hijacking in Monasterevin on Sunday 15th May 2022 in Country Life (also known as Glanbia).
At around 3pm a male, approximately 5ft 10 tall, medium build and wearing a red and white hooped jersey top and dark coloured jeans came across the carpark.
He went to the first vehicle (Ford Fiesta), but driver was in vehicle, he tried to open the door, and did not succeed with entry to vehicle.
The male then went to a second vehicle, (Citroen C3) Grey, hatchback model, 202.KE.1113.
The keys were in the vehicle, and the male got into the car and drove away while a female passenger was in the front seat.
A staff member of Country Life store ran out and opened the driver’s door in order to try stop the driver and then while that was going on the female passenger fell out of the vehicle.
Gardaí are appealing for information on the identity of culprit and the location of vehicle which has not yet been found.
