Speaking to Kfm, Naas Garda David Prendergast urged Members of the public to report any information about the possession or sale of illegal fireworks to their nearest Garda station.
Gardaí have carried out seizures of illegal fireworks in the Maynooth and Leixlip areas as part of an ongoing crackdown ahead of Halloween.
Authorities are reminding the public that it is illegal to import, hold, sell, or use fireworks without a proper licence.

He said severe criminal penalties apply to anyone found in possession of fireworks for sale or supply.
Gardaí are also warning that anyone caught igniting an illegal firework, or throwing one at a person or property, faces serious criminal charges.
