The partnership is expected to support around 20 additional roles and 6–10 indirect roles
Holland and Barrett has announced a €17.5m investment in its Irish operations over the next three years.
From November, it will move fulfilment of its Irish online orders from the UK to Ireland through an expanded partnership with Kildare-based Road Truck Services (RTS).
The expanded partnership is also expected to support around 20 additional roles and 6–10 indirect roles, with recruitment focused on Kildare town and surrounding areas.
The €17.5m comprises €8.2m of new investment in digital fulfilment and €9.3m relating to its existing retail fulfilment operations with RTS.
The move will also add around €1.5m of stock held locally, bringing H&B’s Irish stockholding to approximately €4.7m, while supporting faster delivery, greater product choice, and future growth in Ireland.
They currently work with around 30 suppliers across 300 product lines, with more products from 34 Irish brands set to become available online.
