The 16-year-old from Rathangan netted the only goal of the match in the 57th minute during his debut against Molde in Norway, in the first leg of their Conference League encounter.
With that goal, the striker became the youngest ever scorer in a European club competition at just 16 years and 197 days old.
To soften the blow, his mam said he was only in for a "half day".
