Over 900 communities took part in this year’s SuperValu Tidy Towns competition, with Carrick-on-Shannon in County Leitrim taking the top prize today.
They’ll hold the honour for the next year, taking over from 2024’s winners of Ballincollig in County Cork.
There were over 30 thousand volunteers involved in committees across the country this year.

Close behind was Kill, securing second place with a score of 397, while Straffan followed in third with 396.
