Increasing to €13.85 from today
Lidl Ireland has become "the first major nationwide employer to commit to paying the Living Wage in 2015, has once again become the first large employer to commit to the latest rate of €13.85 as recommended by the Living Wage Technical Group for 2023."
The Living Wage was €12.90, but from today 20th October, it will increase to €13.85.
€7.5million will be invested by the company to introduce the increase, benefitting 4,200 employees across the country.
It's the second wage increase from the company this year.
In March, €10 million was invested, "which saw all 5,000 employees receive a pay rise".
Lidl Ireland have 9 stores across Co. Kildare, including Celbridge, Kilcock & Sallins.
Lidl Regional Distribution Centre in Newbridge employs approximately 350 employees.
