The Heritage Council have announced €38,376 worth of funding for projects which will benefit wildlife, local economies and tourism in Kildare.
Funding was granted for 2 out of 137 projects under the Heritage Council’s Community Heritage Grant Scheme and will be issued to grant recipients in Kildare this year. It will help conserve and restore built, cultural and natural heritage throughout the country.
The Naas Union Select Vestry will be offered over €23,500 to assist with a project aiming to achieve an understanding of the historic structures that make up the church site and to develop a set of policies for their conservation, adaptation and community use.
A conservation plan for St. Michael's and All Angels Church in Clane will also be funded which will inform necessary phased conservation works to the building and its future uses.
