Critical repair works by Uisce Éireann on a key water pipeline serving Kildare has now been completed, with normal operations now resuming.
Critical repairs to the Ballymore Eustace to Saggart trunk watermain have been completed, bringing to an end the largest repair programme carried out on the pipeline to date.
The watermain supplies homes, businesses and essential services across Dublin, Kildare, and parts of Wicklow.
More than 300 workers were involved in the operation, with the repairs finished within the planned 27-hour window.
Water is now flowing through the pipelines again and the network is returning to normal operation.
The works included replacing a damaged section of the pipe and repairing 15 leaks, with the aim of improving the long-term reliability of one of the region's most important water supply routes.
