A man has been charged with assault causing serious harm following the death of another man in Lucan.
33-year-old Tomas Cypas of Foxborough Road, Lucan, Dublin appeared before Blanchardstown District Court this afternoon.
Gardaí responded to an incident at a home at Old Bridge Park, Lucan, Dublin shortly after 8am on Monday.
49-year-old Juris Kokenbergs was found inside the house and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr. Cypas was arrested at the scene for questioning in relation to the incident.
He appeared before Blanchardstown District Court today, where the court heard he was charged shortly before 11pm last night with one count of assault causing serious harm.
The court heard he made no reply to the charge.

An objection was made against an application for bail based on the serious nature of the charge.
Bail was denied and Mr. Cypas has been remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on Tuesday the 5th of November.
