€300 in cash and various medications were taken in the process
Gardaí are appealing for information after a pharmacy theft in Maynooth during which the burglar lied about having a gun.
It occurred on Saturday 19 September at approximately 2:10pm, as €300 in cash and some prescription drugs were taken in the process.
The male entered the store and alleged he was in possession of a gun, before proceeding to take cash from both tills, as well as medication such as Diazepam, Xanax and other Opiods.
No one was injured during the incident.
The male then left the scene and fled on a bicycle in the direction of Dunboyne.
Speaking on Kildare Today's Crimewatch, Clane Garda Órlaith Fahy said the bike was found a short time later and seized for a technical examination.
Gardaí are still looking for witnesses and are requesting any witnesses that may have seen anything to contact them at Leixlip Garda Station at (01 6667800).
