Out-of-court agreement reached over Proper Twelve profits claim
Conor McGregor has settled a multi-million-euro legal dispute with his former friend and sparring partner Artem Lobov over the sale of Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey.
The case had been due to get underway in court, but both sides reached an agreement following talks.
The terms of the settlement have not been made public.
The dispute centred on claims by Lobov that he was promised a five percent stake in the whiskey brand for his role in its creation.
McGregor had strongly disputed that claim.
In 2021, McGregor sold his majority stake in Proper No. Twelve in a deal reported to be worth more than €500 million.
He is believed to have personally earned over €100 million from the sale.
Following the deal, McGregor continued to promote the brand as a spokesperson, but that relationship ended after he lost a civil rape case in 2024.
In a statement read on his behalf, McGregor said he was “satisfied this matter has been resolved” and that he can now focus on his training and an upcoming fight this summer. He also thanked Lobov for his contribution to the whiskey business.
Speaking to reporters afterwards, Lobov said he was happy with the resolution.
