The county's €163,900 allocation is among the lowest in the country. Only Carlow and one Cork community project received less funding.

Monasterevin is set to benefit from a €163,900 investment aimed at transforming Market Square into an accessible and multi-functional public space.

The regeneration project seeks to redefine the town centre as a hub of local economic activity, encouraging footfall and supporting community life.

The redesigned Square is expected to provide an inclusive setting for events, gatherings, and everyday interaction.

Monastervin is the only area in the county to benefit from the latest tranche of funds announced under the Government's Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF).

The county's €163,900 allocation is among the lowest in the country.

Only Carlow and one Cork community project received less funding.
