This is due to a rise in carbon tax - and there will be further increases in the coming months due to changes to the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation Scheme.

Fuel prices will rise from tomorrow.

The cost of a litre of petrol and diesel will increase by around 2 and a half cent.

Kevin McPartland, CEO of Fuels for Ireland, says motorists are facing significant increases.
