A proposal for 620 new homes in Tallaght, 80% social and affordable, is at risk of rejection by South Dublin County councillors today.
Public land should be developed by local councils rather than being sold off to private developers, according to a People Before Profit TD.
This comes as a proposal for 620 new homes in Tallaght - 80 percent social and affordable - is at risk of rejection by South Dublin County councillors today.
The site is one of a dozen being developed as part of the council's plan to deliver almost 4,500 homes in the area.
However, Paul Murphy says because the land has been contracted to private developers there's no gaurantee the cost of these affordable homes won't increase.
He also critcised the delay in finalising these homes
