Another recheck will take place this morning in the Newbridge LEA, in one of the closest election races nationwide.
As it stands, Tracey O'Dwyer (Fine Gael), Peggy O'Dwyer (Fine Gael) and Chris Pender (Social Democrats) are all elected.
Noel Heavey (Fianna Fail) and Rob Power (Fianna Fail) look set to retain their seats, so it all comes down to the 6th and final seat.
Tom McDonnell (Independent) is currently in 6th spot.
Yesterday Melissa Byrne (Aontu) moved into 7th, at the expense of James Stokes (Sinn Fein), who missed out by one vote.
Sinn Fein called for a recount, which was granted by Kildare County Council, and last night it emerged Stokes moved two votes ahead of Byrne.
Aontu have now called for a recheck of the recount and that was also granted by Kildare County Council.
