The proposed site is located behind Clane GAA.
A planning application has been lodged with Kildare County Council for 190 residential units in Clane.
The application by Debussy Properties Ltd. has plans for 114 two-storey residential houses, 76 duplex units, and a two-storey childcare facility, in Crockaun Commons behind Clane GAA.
It also proposed to change the layout of the entrance to the GAA club, making the existing the access for pedestrians and cyclists only, and moving vehicular access westbound.
The existing ball court is also slated for demolition to facilitate this new access.
A decision on whether the planning application will be granted or refused will be made early next year.
