On the Trinity panel, outgoing Senators Lynn Ruane and Tom Clonan look set to keep their seats.
The third seat will be a fierce battle between former Ireland rugby international Hugo MacNeill, two Green party candidates in Hazel Chu and Ossian Smyth and Independent Aubrey McCarthy from Punchestown who currently leads the way.
