Naas Roads Policing Unit carried out speed checks in Castledermot recently, where several motorists were found travelling over the speed limit of 60kph in wet road conditions.
Motorists caught were doing over 90kph.
They were stopped and issued a €160 fine and 3 penalty points.
Gardaí are urging motorists to slow down as wet and dangerous driving conditions continue.
