Kildare County Council plans to build two new pedestrian bridges as part of Phase 2
Kildare County Council plans to build two new pedestrian bridges as part of Phase 2 of the Grand Canal Greenway, improving safety for walkers and cyclists.
The first bridge will be in Lowtown, and the second just east of Healy’s Bridge, allowing users to avoid dangerous sections of the public road.
After reviewing the environmental impact, the Council has decided that the project won’t significantly affect protected habitats.
