A distinctive three-tone wedding band is among jewellery worth around €1,400 stolen during a burglary in Coltstown, Castledermot, last Friday, October 3rd.

The break-in happened at a house just off the L4015 road between 8am and 10pm.

The back door was smashed and other items taken included a gold Celtic knot necklace with diamonds, a silver ring, and a small gold horse-shaped charm.

Gardaí in Athy are examining Ring doorbell footage and canvassing local CCTV.

They are appealing to anyone who may have been on the L4015 that day and noticed anything suspicious to contact Athy Garda Station on 059-8634210.
