A teenage boy has died after he was hit by a car near Robertstown in the early hours of this morning.
A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with a hit and run in Blackwood, just outside Robertstown.
The man is currently detained at a Garda station in Co. Kildare under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
A cordon is in place as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examine the scene and local traffic diversions remain in place.
Investigating Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses.In addition, they are particularly appealing to those with camera footage, including dash-cam, from the Prosperous, Allenwood, Carbury, and Robertstown areas between 11:30 pm and 3:30 am on 10th November, to come forward.
