A frightening incident unfolded for a local driver last night, as a group of children were reportedly spotted throwing objects at cars that caused a driver to lose control of their car in the Glen Easton area of Leixlip.
At around 7:15pm last night, a motorist was startled by a loud thud to his vehicle, which led to a loss of control and a crash that left his car severely damaged, possibly a write-off.
The driver, a local man, was left shaken by the unexpected impact, which caused him to swerve and crash during icy conditions.
The children responsible for the incident are understood to have fled the scene immediately.
The driver's partner, Suz Nelson, took to social media to highlight what happened. "Where’s your kids tonight? Out by Glen Easton causing cars to crash? Unfortunately this happened to my partner...A big thud on the car gave him a huge fright, causing him to crash the car and now it’s a possible write off," she said.
Kfm has contacted Suz for further comment.
