24 gardai have been suspended from duty so far this year.

Justice Minister Heather Humphreys says 41 officers were suspended in all of last year, and 21 in 2019.

Sinn Féin's justice spokesman, Martin Kenny, says the new figures are concerning.

The numbers have increased sharply in recent years - with only 21 suspensions in all of 2019.
