Incident alleged to have occurred in Murroe, Co. Limerick.
Three men are due in court this evening, in connection with an investigation into the attempted theft of a catalytic convertor in County Limerick.
A number of men tried to take it from a car in Murroe.

"The men who who trying to rob the catalytic converter were disturbed when it happened in Murroe shortly before half 12 yesterday morning.
They smashed the windscreen of the car before leaving the scene in a red VW car - a similar car was spotted in Castletroy a short time later.
Gardaí saw four men get out of the car and get into another that was parked in Brookfield Hall housing estate.
As they approached, the men fled the scene. After they searched the two cars, officers seized equipment suspected for use in the theft of catalytic converters and the red VW had false licence plates.
Three men in their late teens and early 20s were arrested and brought to Henry Street Garda Station.
They've since been charged and are due to appear before a special sitting of Ennis District Court this evening. "
