The jury’s unanimous verdict was delivered at 2:13 this afternoon after seven hours and twenty-nine minutes of deliberations.
The teenager gave no reaction when the verdict was read out.
Ms Justice Siobhan Lankford said the jury had done their civic duty and excused them from jury service for five years.
The boy will appear before the court again tomorrow.
Barry Daly died in the front garden of his house in Doneraile in the early hours of the 12th of October last.
