50 people watched One Good Turn.
The curtain went up in the The Abbey Theatre last night for the first time since March last year with just 10 per cent of its capacity audience in attendance.
50 people settled into the red velvet seats of the national theatre to watch One Good Turn, by Úna McKevitt.
It's the longest period the theatre has been without an audience in its history.
Tonight is a big night - it's our first performance on the Abbey stage with a live audience for #OneGoodTurn since March 2020 🙏 We can't wait to welcome our audience back to their national theatre. pic.twitter.com/saKOOjoqNO
