It happened at 8pm last night.
Gardai are appealing for information on a collision in Co Kilkenny which has left a young boy in hospital with serious injuries.
Officers say the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Station Road in Thomastown just before 8pm last night.
The boy was taken to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny in a serious condition, and has since been transferred to Temple Street Children's Hospital.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward, in particular any drivers with dash cam footage.
