The head of the HSE says there is a need for caution as Covid hospitalisations rise.

They were up 17 per cent this week to 354, with 69 people in ICU.

Two thirds of patients in ICU are not vaccinated.

Paul Reid's tweeted that vaccines are protecting and helping us move on.

It comes ahead of the easing of most of the remaining covid restrictions on October 22nd.

There are mixed views on the streets of Dublin about the prospects of lifting restrictions later this month
