Increases in excise duty on petrol and diesel are set to go ahead later this week.
There have been calls for it to be scrapped.
The next rise is due on Friday, followed by another in late October.
The price of petrol will rise by 7 cents per litre, while the price of diesel will increase by 5 cents per litre.
It comes after an increase was already implemented in early June.
