The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation have begun a Pre-Ballot information campaign as they prepare for a vote on industrial action over the public sector pay deal.
Unions have rejected the government's offer for a 5 per cent pay increase over 2 years.
Discussions, which broke down in June, are set to resume next week.
Speaking to Kildare Today on KFM, Joe Hoolan, INMO Industrial Relations Officer in Kildare says swift progress is needed.
